It blows my mind how often I hear this comment in some form or fashion. People everywhere acknowledge that losing weight is hard. It's not easy for elite athletes and it's not easy for working moms or business men or jugglers in the circus. No one hides this fact. It's not discovered through university lab experiments. It's a fact like the sky is blue. So I ask myself, "If it is so hard to lose weight - why would I want to put on a single extra pound?" That's brainless. I don't care what your weight is right this second - just don't add to it one more gram! Stop the madness. It's hard to drive on a flat tire, so keep air in your tires! It's hard to work when you are exhausted - so get some sleep. We know what to do. We absolutely know what to do - but we don't do it. I think we have to simply put a stake in the ground and tell ourselves that we are going to 'comfort ourselves' with something besides food. We are going to "fuel ourselves" instead of satiate ourselves. Whatever it takes - we are not going to add another number to our weight scale. Because it is so darn hard - to go lose weight!
